Mr. Humphrey Andanyi Blessings is a distinguished Kenyan scholar, educator, and youth mentor currently pursuing a PhD in Physical Chemistry at Brigham Young University (USA), specializing in energy collision studies. His research spans impactful fields such as environmental sustainability, nanotechnology, solar energy harvesting, and pharmaceutical modeling. He’s a Teaching and Research assistant at Brigham Young University.
With a strong academic background including a First-Class Honors degree and a master’s in chemistry from the University of Nairobi, Mr. Andanyi has led groundbreaking research on converting plastic waste into carbon nanotubes and leather waste into gelatin —innovations with broad industrial and environmental relevance. These are noble research that helps in controlling the noxious plastic and leather waste from the environment.
Beyond academia, he is the founder of the Peer Mentors Association of Kenya (PMAK), which has mentored over 300,000 youth and students nationwide and raising over 300 leaders and sponsoring numerous students and pupils in Kenya. He has run a tree planting drive through PMAK that has successfully planted trees in over 20 schools and launched mentorship clubs in 8 schools across the country. He has also lectured at Multimedia University& University of Nairobi as graduate Assistant, served in several national and international institutions, and initiated programs focused on child empowerment, leadership development, and drug prevention. He formed young and new initiatives including: the Association of wise men and women of Africa, Tujijemge Foundation and NextGen Global Initiative which are life transforming programs.
Mr. Andanyi is also a passionate leader and speaker, having led organizations such as the BYU African Students Association as the Vice president (presently) and Youth for Jesus Movement (YJM) as the founder and the head, he was appointed a member of the culture change committee at the university of Nairobi. He was a student leader in the universities (nonpolitical) he also holds the different ranks in church/es. He’s entrepreneurial efforts include founding Detmax Limited, NTS LTD and managing vocational institutions that empower young people across Kenya.
